Tangling Ass
From Kalpulli Community
[edit] Tangling Ass: No more Mr. Nice Guy
My dear relatives everywhere,
Every title deserves an explanation. When my late & lamented father confronted a manifestation
of misconduct, whether among his children or his work colleagues, he would very often say,
"we're gonna tangle ass."
Secondly, a very famous rock star who calls himself Alice Cooper recorded an album in the 70's called
No more Mr Nice Guy.
My relatives, it is time for us, in the words of my late & lamented mother,
to get down & dirty.
Our institutions are failing us. Our governments are buckling from a multi-faceted assault
covering the waterfront, from corporations to the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, World Trade
Organization, and the re-metastasizing cancer of religious fundamentalism.
In addition the age of impunity is reaching a crescendo that even surprises those of us who know a little history.
Witness the behavior of that penultimate outlaw state called Israel.
An entity funded on religious superstition, guilt, and the Chosen People Syndrome.
The victims have become the victimizers.
Add to that the man in the White House who's intellectually and morally
incapable of doing the right thing at any level!
My relatives there are many essays & editorials on this website, particularly those written by
our Minister of Culture, and myself. Quite frankly, we're beginning to wonder: can it be that people are so jaded
that nothing is getting through to them? I am calling on all 7 billion of you to prove me wrong. This website has been up for
months.
The governing council of Kalpulli would deeply appreciate substantive responses.
Not spam from Luxembourg, Nigeria, and the like.
We are to be modest but our goals are not.
Kalpulli is not only dedicated to ecological & cultural restoration, with emphasis on indigenous cultures,
but we will be a macrocosmic incubator for the preparation of future leadership. There is an educational component to this
work.
The Aztec word Kalpulli, which means community, includes education, from conception to death. In fact we joke
that life after life is just cosmic graduate school.
In previous editorials, I have argued that if everybody on this planet
who believes in peace, ecological health, soul-filled justice, and the other positives,
would send us $1 or more, Kalpulli would take its rightful place as a force for good, if I may paraphrase John Coltrane.
We have experienced several years of setbacks.
We're determined to move forward again. With that in mind, I'm calling on some good friends
to start communicating with us, as they did on the old website. I'm specifically referring to Drs. Hadiq Ali and
Mina Wakenyati. We have no hope of taking back this world
if we don't establish multi-faceted linkages. With all the hip folks on the planet!!
In the meantime, please send what you can!

Let's see what we can do together! Your positive response will make you, what we call a Kalpullista in good standing.
In addition, we call on our good friends at
MoveOn.org, the Huffington Post, 50 years is enough, Democracy Now!,
Pacifica Radio, Al Jazeera, and every other decent & progressive organization on this planet, such as the Rainforest
Action Network and the Center for Science, Environment & Technology, to engage us
in a substantive manner. With few exception, such as the govt. of Bolivia, we can't count on governments anymore.
1 of the goals of Kalpulli is to enter into a transitional arrangement into a healthy world.
Thank you.
